*Knit 1 row in garter stiches (even stiches).
Purl 1 row*.
Repeat to about 9-inches in length.
Dec. every 5 sts. (2 sts tog.)
Knit 1 row in garter stich.
Dec. every 4 sts. (2 sts tog.)
Knit 1 row in garter stich.
